Amazon S3 Video Hosting Made Easy

by Dennis on December 24, 2009

If you need to host video longer than the free services allow, then Amazon S3 can be your solution. The problem is, it takes a programmer to upload a video. That is until now. There is now a Firefox addon available that makes uploading to S3 as simple as FTP. I was getting ready to pay $250 for a similar S3 tool one of the “gurus” was selling. I decided to do some research and found a Firefox addon that does the job quickly and easily.
Go here to download it for free.

Every Amazon S3 related blog gives you an impression that there is only one Amazon S3 client available – S3 fox. However there are many more freeware clients which are much superior. For instance, S3HUB for Mac (http://s3hub.com) and CloudBerry Explorer for Windows (http://s3explorer.cloudberrylab.com/) .

Hey Andy, thanks for posting this information. Choices are always great. When I found the Firefox plugin, it worked so well I quit looking for an S3 upload solution. I will give Cloudberry S3 Explorer a trial run and write up a review. I am a PC guy with several MAC friends who can benefit from knowing there is a simple solution to the the S3 upload problem for them too.
    Thanks again for great information.

    Dennis
